Philanthropy

Ridgeway actively advises and represents individuals, families and foundations in all aspects of their philanthropy, from initial strategic planning and formulation of charitable goals to grant proposal evaluation and monitoring. We guide family foundations through governance and generational transition issues and assist with tax compliance and administration.

Sample assignments:

• We assess and advise on appropriate charitable vehicles to meet a family's philanthropic goals.
• We work with family members, individually and in family retreats and meetings, to determine mission, vision and values for philanthropic intent.
• We develop and initiate a programmatic plan and process for ongoing strategic grant-making, evaluation and assessment.
• We work with multiple generations to develop governance and trustee training models to leverage philanthropic success.
